Our members had to battle bad weather again with freezing rain in the forcast to make the trip to Sunny Brook Lanes for this weekends tournament. Inspite of the weather we had a great turn out as we started the second half of the tournament bowling season on a high note. We want to thank everyone who is helping to make the American Masters Bowlers tour the bowlers choice in tournament bowling as it is meant to be. Our High Qualifier this weekend for our 226 scratch division was Craig Nidiffer as he rolled his way to the top with a great 1182 scratch score. Craig continues to lead the way as our hottest bowler on tour. Our High Qualifier for our 206 handicap division was Eric Schulte. Eric posted a great 1193 W/Handicap to lead all bowlers in our handicap division. Craig Nidiffer continued his vicious assault on the AMBT record books by earning his way into our finals to for our 226 scratch division this weekend. He came up short this week against the hot hand of John Putman and Craig had to settle for another second place finish. He continues to be the hottest bowler on tour this season and I know that we have stated it several times this season but he is showing us what determination and great shot making will do for a bowler who is as focused as he is right now. Inspite of very challenging lane conditions Craig is working the lanes and demonstrating great skill as he runs towards claim a bowler of the year title. Vince Schulte is still leading in the Bowler of the Year performance points for our 206 Handicap division by posting a second place finish this weekend at Sunny Brook Lanes. Aaron Leach defeated Vince this weekend to claim his third career title and vault himself into second place in the performance points list and to close the gap on Vince and to serve notice that the Bowler of the Year title will not be claimed without a fight. We still have seven other bowlers who are in striking distance of also posting a challenge for the top spot. We have allot of bowling season left so its anyones guess who will end up on top. Our AMBT Radio program will finally have a new and fresh show this week. Because of being sick most of last week with the flu we were unable to post a new show. I encourage you to listen in this week and it should be posted by Wedensday 7th. We do appreciate the emails and questions that bowlers have been sending to us. If you have have something to say about the American Masters Bowlers tour then we invite you to send us your email. We plan to include some of them in our radio programing each tournament. We always want area bowlers to understand that the American Masters is here to provide area bowlers with tournament bowling as it is meant to be. If you want to earn a tournament title that really means something then AMBT is the place to be. If you are up to the challenge then we invite you to give us a try. *Honor to Our Tournament Champions We want to honor John Putman for earning his second career AMBT Champions Title for our 226 Scratch Division this weekend and also to Aaron Leach for earning his third career AMBT Champions Title for our 206 Handicap Division. Both bowlers had to manage some very challenging lane conditions and close matches this weekend to earn their titles. *Next Tournament to be held at AMF Rosebowl Lanes *Special Guaranteed Event! - Click Here for Information The American Masters Bowlers Tour will travel to AMF Rosebowl Lanes on January 18th. with our traditional singles format.
