*226 Scratch Division Cut Score - Minus -46
*206 Handicap Division Cut Score: Plus +22
*Lane Condition: Kegel Highway to Hell - 40ft Length - Medium Oil Volume

The weather was cold but that did not stop our members from coming out in great numbers to make this tournament one of our best of the season. Strong participation provided for allot of excitement as bowlers had to manage our "Highway to Hell" lane condition that again challenged our members to make their spares to win the day. When all the dust had settled we crowned one new champion in our 226 scratch division and gave out a third American Masters Eagle to our 206 handicap division champion. We want to thank Continental Lanes and their staff for again showing us why they are a great host for our tournament each time that we come there.

Our High Qualifier this weekend for our 226 scratch division was Craig Nidiffer as he rolled his way to the top with a great 1131 scratch score for five games of qualifying on very challenging lane conditions. This is Craig's fourth High Qualifier award this tournament season.

Our High Qualifier for our 206 handicap division was Kevin Mulka as he posted a great 1242 W/Handicap to lead all bowlers in our handicap division. This was Kevin's second career High Qualifier award.

Craig Nidiffer continued his all out assault on the AMBT record books by earning his way into our finals for our 226 scratch division this weekend. He had to bowl our number two seed Abed Daher in the championship match as Craig earned another second place finish as he continues to be the hottest bowler on tour this season Craig now has five career champions titles and is only one title short of the single season record of five titles set by Brandon Dale two seasons ago. Craig had a chance to tie the record this past weekend but fell alittle short.

Vince Schulte is still leading in the Bowler of the Year performance points for our 206 Handicap division. Lenny Dunford is still in second place in the performance points list with the top three bowlers unable to make up any ground this weekend. We still have eight other bowlers who are in striking distance of also posting a challenge for the top spot. We have allot of bowling season left so its anyones guess who will end up on top.

Our AMBT Radio program will start to air again on Monday after our 3-15-09 tournament. Our technical issues have been FINALLY worked out and the new show should be posted by mid-week. We do appreciate the emails and questions that bowlers have been sending to us. We have a great deal of information to talk about so we invite our members to continue to send us those emails.

We always want area bowlers to understand that the American Masters is here to provide area bowlers with tournament bowling as it is meant to be. If you want to earn a tournament title that really means something then AMBT is the place to be. If you are up to the challenge then we invite you to give us a try.

*Honor to Our Tournament Champions
We want to honor Abed Daher for earning his first career AMBT Champions Title for our 226 Scratch Division this weekend and also to Scott Turner Jr. for earning his fourth career AMBT Champions Title for our 206 Handicap Division. Both bowlers had to manage some very challenging lane conditions and close matches this weekend to earn their titles.
