We want to start out by thanking all our members who helped to make this another great day of tournament bowling for the American Masters Bowlers Tour. This was a "Back to Back" tournament weekend for us and many of our members were in Vega's at the USBC tournament but we still enjoyed a good turn-out as our members proved again why we are the tournament venue of choice in Southeast Michigan. We bowled on a Kegel Lane condition called the "Dead Man's Curve". This longer pattern condition provided our members with the challenge of playing the lanes in a way that required great shot selection for each and every swing. Spare making ruled the day for those who found their way above the cut line. Our High Qualifier this weekend for our 226 scratch division was Sean Sevrence as he rolled his way to the top with a great 1115 scratch score for five games of qualifying on very challenging lane conditions. Our High Qualifier for our 206 handicap division was a tie with Lenny Dunford and Steve Oliver as they both posted a great 1187 W/Handicap to lead all bowlers in our handicap division. This was Lenny's and Steve's second career High Qualifier awards. Craig Nidiffer has about locked up the "Bowler of the Year" honors for our 226 Scratch Division. Bob Frink is in second place and would have to win three of the next four tournaments including the Year End event to make a challenge. Vince Schulte is still leading in the Bowler of the Year performance points for our 206 Handicap division but Lenny Dunford is making a late push and is now in second place and posting a challenge for the top spot with only four tournaments left there is still time to catch Vince. We always want area bowlers to understand that the American Masters is here to provide area bowlers with tournament bowling as it is meant to be. If you want to earn a tournament title that really means something then AMBT is the place to be. If you are up to the challenge then we invite you to give us a try. The American Masters continues to provide a professional challenge for the amateur bowler. *Honor to Our Tournament Champions We want to honor Sean Sevrence for earning his first career AMBT Champions Title for our 226 Scratch Division this weekend and also to Lenny Dunford for earning his third career AMBT Champions Title for our 206 Handicap Division. Both bowlers had to manage some very challenging lane conditions and close matches this weekend to earn their titles. *Only three Tournaments left before our Year End Event!
