We enjoyed another great Sunday of tournament bowling as our Year Championship event proved to be one of the best challenges of the season. Our special raffle was a hugh success again as we raised money for our special charity projects. We want to thank all of our members for their continued support with these efforts. Our awards presentation this year provided several of our members with some nice surprises and we want to let our members know that they were appreciated for their help and envolvement this season in helping to make the American Masters Bowlers Tour the place to be for true tournament bowling.

Hall of Fame additions: Branden Dale, Vince Schulte, Craig Nidiffer
Directors Award: Tauna Parks, Lenny Dunford, Michael Magolan, Paul McDonald Sr.
Bob Strawchewski Sportsmanship Award: Bob Frink - 226 Division, Aaron Leach - 206 Handicap Division

We bowled on a Lane condition called the "Ultimate Challenge - 1". This 45ft. pattern provided our members with the challenge of playing the lanes from different angles and lines to the pocket. Challenging lanes conditions are what the American Masters Bowlers Tour is all about. No where else in Southeast Michigan will you find a tournament that provides this for its members consistantly like we do!

Our High Qualifiers this weekend for our 226 scratch division was John Szczucinski as he rolled his way to the top with a great 1171 scratch score for five games of qualifying on very challenging lane conditions.

Our High Qualifier for our 206 handicap division was Kevin Chapoton as he posted a great 1196 W/Handicap to lead all bowlers in our handicap division. This was both bowlers first High Qualifier awards this season.

Craig Nidiffer has locked up the "Bowler of the Year" honors for our 226 Scratch Division. Bob Frink finished in second place and we want to thank both bowlers for a great season of bowling.

Vince Schulte
held on to claim his second consecutive "Bowler of the Year" title for our 206 Handicap Division. Vince did not have a great year end championship performance but earned enough points to keep both of his challengers behind him

We always want area bowlers to understand that the American Masters is here to provide area bowlers with tournament bowling as it is meant to be. If you want to earn a tournament title that really means something then AMBT is the place to be. If you are up to the challenge then we invite you to give us a try. The American Masters continues to provide a professional challenge for the amateur bowler.

*Honor to Our Tournament Champions
We want to honor Doug Mazurco for earning his second career Champions Title for our 226 Scratch Division this weekend becoming our Year End Champion for the first time.
Richard O'Dell took home the Champions eagles for the 206 Handicap Division for his second career title and also for the second straight year as our Year End tournament Champion.
