8-12-08 Volume 4. Issue 2. *Continental Lanes Results 
Start of the 2008-2009 Tournament Bowling Season *What a great day for the American Masters Bowlers Tour as our new season started off with a great turnout and participation by our members. Our cut scores were low and the lane conditions challenging as the top sixteen bowlers from both divisions made their way into the match play finals for the chance to earn the champions title and champions eagle. We want to congratulate Bob Frink for earning his fifth career AMBT champions title for our 226 Scratch Division and a special salute to Norman Cooper who earned his first ever champions title for our 206 Handicap Division. Both bowlers had to earn their way through some challenging match play games to claim their eagles. It was one of those Sundays where you had to work hard to stay out of trouble and just make your spares. *Lane #1. Ball Bonus Winner this weekend! *Our first tournament of the season started off with Bob Frink earning an extra $300 bonus from Lane #1. as Bob used his "BuzzBomb" solid all day during qualifying and match play to take advantage of this special promotion. Give us a call or see a tournament director for more information. *Next Tournament to be held at Woodland Lanes *SPECIAL DOUBLE POINTS EVENT The American Masters Bowlers Tour will travel to Woodland Lanes on August 24th. with our traditional singles format. This tournament will feature (5) five games of qualifying. Check in starts at 9:00AM and we will start bowling at 10:00 AM for this event. Make your plans now to attend our first tournament of the new bowling season. The quest for "Bowler of the Year" honors starts here. We encourage you to make it your goal to earn this high honor. New Season Rule Updates and Changes  *We have made several rule changes for the 2008-2009 bowling season that we believe will help our tournaments grow and provide for an even more competitive bowling enviroment. We encourage all our members to visit the rules page for your division to see what changes we have made. We are asking everyone to read them so that you will not be caught by any unexpected changes that you were not aware of. It is each members responsiblitiy to know our rules and regulations. We are very excited about the new tournament season and we want all our members to make the American Masters Bowlers Tour a regular part of their tournament bowling for the new season.  *We encourage you to check-out our BowlerVision Video page on a regular basis this season because will be expanded this program to include a more comprehensive look at the American Masters Bowlers Tour and all the weekend tournament happenings with our members and match-play results. Be ready because you could be our next guest.  This season we will be giving our High Non-Cashiers from both divisions a gift coupon provided to us by our division sponsors of Lane #1. and Visionary Bowling. This coupon will be good towards the purchase of their bowling equipment from "Rip the Rack Proshop". Special requirments will apply with this promotion.  RECRUITER OF THE YEAR SPECIAL HONORS We encourage all of our members to go out and invite a friend to come out and bowl at one of our tournaments this next bowling season. The member who is responsible for the most new members will be crowned our "Recruiter of the Year" and earn fifteen (15) prepaid tournament entries for the 2009-2010 tournament bowling season.
