12-7-08 Volume 4. Issue 8. *Astro Lanes Results *226 Scratch Division Cut Score - Minus <92> *206 Handicap Division Cut Score: Plus +42 *Lane Condition: Kegel Board Walk Lane Pattern - 35ft Length - Medium Oil Volume 
Inspite of the cold and bad weather we had a good turnout as many dedicated members made their way to Astro Lanes for another great tournament event this past Sunday. Our Kegel Lane condition the "Board Walk" provided for some very challenging conditions and as it has come to be expected with very low cut scores for both divisions. Our High Qualifier this weekend for our 226 scratch division was Nick Kokenos Sr. as he dominated the lanes on his way to a record score of 1245 for five games of qualifying. He also gave us a great thrill with a 288 game after running the front ten strikes in his fourth game to flirt with a perfect 300 game. Our High Qualifier for our 206 handicap division was Paul McDonald Sr. who was having a break through tournament of his own. He had been struggling for the first several tournaments of this bowling season to finally put together five great games to lead all qualifiers. Great bowling Paul - Keep It Up! It was nice to see so many of our tournament champions wearing their American Masters Champions shirts this weekend. As you look out across the bowling center and watch our members bowling on the lanes you can quickly tell who the champions are by their special shirts. It is one of those special honors that only comes from earning a champions title. If you are a present of past champion you can order your shirt at our tournament office. We want to remind all of our recent new members that you must have a bowling shirt with your name on the back by the third tournament that you participate in. If you need help in getting a shirt just let one of our tournament directors know and we can help you get it done. I want to say a special word of thanks to all of our members who have sent us emails over the past several weeks. Since we have started our new AMBT Radio program and we invited emails from our listeners they have been coming in at a strong pace. Its great to have so many of you voice your words of praise and suggestions. We plan to include some of these emails in our webcast each time. So if you have something to say, suggest, or if you are just wanting more information about our tournaments we invite you to send us your emails. We always want area bowlers to understand that the American Masters is here to provide area bowlers with tournament bowling as it is meant to be. If you want to earn a tournament title that really means something then AMBT is the place to be. If you are up to the challenge then we invite you to give us a try. *Honor to Our Tournament Champions We want to honor Doug Mazurco for earning his first career AMBT Champions Title for our 226 Scratch Division this weekend and also to Rick Gilmer for earning his fifth career AMBT Champions Title for our 206 Handicap Division. Both bowlers had to manage some very challenging lane conditions and close matches this weekend to earn their titles. *Special Note: Rick Gilmer also earned a $300 Sponsors bonus this weekend for using an Lane #1. BuzzBomb/R during the championship match. *Next Tournament to be held at Astro Lanes - Double Points Event The American Masters Bowlers Tour will travel to Taylor Lanes on December 21st. with our traditional singles format. This tournament will feature (5) five games of qualifying. Check in starts at 9:00AM and we will start bowling at 10:00 AM for this event. Lane condition used will be posted at the tournament site the day of the tournament. *Listen to our New PodCast on AMBT Radio After many delays we are finally launching our AMBT Radio programs that will feature a new program following each of our tournament dates. We will use this time to profile the events and happenings from our tournaments. We will also be posting special programs of interest that will be designed to help our members to better enjoy their tournament bowling experience with us.
