We want to welcome you to the American Masters Bowlers Tour. We are a tournament organization that is in the business to organize and host bowling tournaments in the Southeast Michigan area. We are independently owned and operated and have been in business since 2002. We want to invite you to experience the difference of bowling in one of our tournaments. We work hard to provide fun and challenging tournament events that will raise your bowling skills. If you want to earn a tournament title that is worthy of honor then the AMBT is for you.
The American Masters Bowlers Tour is about four main core values.

The American Masters Bowlers Tour is about raising the bar in local tournament competitive bowling to a higher standard in achievement. For most of our members there is something far more important than just winning a large sum of money. It is about having the oppourtunity to earn a bowling title that is special. When you earn one of our champions eagles you will join an elite group that you can proudly state you are apart of belonging too. We will always work to provide our members with the oppourtunity to be challenged and to enjoy their bowling experience at the same time.
As a member you may not always agree with how we do things. But you can have the confidence that we will always stand by the rules and fairly apply them for the total good of the membership body. When you come to your first American Masters Tournament you will experience what great tournament bowling is all about. It is our promise to always put integrity above entries. We will always be looking for new ways to benefit our members at every tournament. We will follow our own rules as they are written and published and fairly apply them to all members. We will not fudge the rules for any one person.
We will provide you with a No Nonsense enviroment that will allow you to enjoy some challenging lane conditions and strong competition from other members.
We believe in our system and formats. Our tournaments will allow you as a bowler to compete and be challenged to accomplish something special in your bowling career and that something special is to earn one of our special Champions Eagles. When you earn a championship title with the American Masters Bowlers Tour you will have a special memory that will last a life time.
The American Masters Bowlers Tour has two divisions for which bowlers can join and compete. Our 209 and under handicap division and our 229 and under scratch division.
Our scratch division features some of the best bowlers in the Southeast Michigan area. We provide our members with challenging lane conditions and formats that will help them become better competitiors and encourage them to grow into the next higher level of bowling competition.
Our handicap division has been designed to provide those bowlers who are looking for their first one on one tournament competition experiences. We use a 100% handicap system. By using this system we believe that it allows bowlers of lower averages the oppourtunity to compete with the higher average bowlers on a more level playing field.
Based on studies by the USBC we have come to adopt this standard for our handicap division. We understand that many tournament bowlers are more use to the 80% to 90% commonly used handicap value formats. At 80% the higher average bowler still has a 20% advantage over the lower average bowler. The American Masters Bowlers Tour is stepping out uncharted territory by offering handicap tournaments based at the 100% handicap value.
Factor in challenging lane conditions and the higher average bowler, the one with the more bowling skills should still have a distinct advantage over the lower average bowler. Skill and experience should always rise when the challenge gets harder.
The American Masters Bowlers Tour is about providing challenging tournaments for all skill levels for both of our divisions. We believe in contributing to the integrity of our sport and not taking away from it with another easy league play bumper bowling tournanment enviroment. If you are looking for easy conditions and formats then the American Masters Bowlers Tour is not for you.
We want you as a potiential new member to fully understand what the AMBT is all about. By having this understanding you will clearly know what to expect from our tournaments now and in the future.
