*Past members must be (1) one year removed from membership and cannot have won a regional or national title.
*All scratch division entering average rules will apply.

SCRATCH TO HANDICAP DIVISION DROP DOWN RULES
1. Any current or past Scratch Division member must re-qualify their league averages to determine Handicap Division eligibility. Handicap entering average rules apply.
2. Any member bowling in the 229 Scratch Divisions with a composite entering average of 210 and over will not be eligible for the 209 Handicap Divisions at anytime.
3. Current Scratch Division tournament average block cannot be used as a qualifier for the Handicap Division.
4. The Tournament Director reserves the right to accept or reject any scratch members request to bowl in the Handicap Division at anytime and for any reason

LOW GAME AVERAGE BLOCK PROTECTION RULE
The maximum drop for any game entered into a bowlers average block will be twenty (20) pins. All tournament games bowled will be counted in a bowlers forty (40) game average block which include qualifying and match play.
Example: If a bowlers average is 175 and he/she bowls a game of 155 or more. that score is counted in their block. If he/she bowls a game of 154 or less, a score of 155 is counted in their block.
This rule is provided in an effort to have better control over our 100 % handicap averaging system and provide a more fair level of play.

Dual Division Participation Average Block Rules
1. Any handicap member with an entering average of 209 and under who wants to bowl in the 229 Scratch Division can do so at anytime.
2. Only one average block will be earned. All games bowled for both divisions will be included in a members (40) forty game average block.
3. Performance points earned in both divisions will not be combined but kept separate for award considerations.

BOWLER OF THE YEAR - CHANGES FOR NEW SEASON
*"Bowler or the Year" will no longer receive prepaid entries unless we secure a special sponsor for this promotion for 2009-2010

50/50 COLLECTIONS
50/50 will now be collected and ear marked for the "Year End" championship tournament prize fund. This will help us give back more money to the bowlers during these hard economic times in Southeast Michigan.

CHARITY SPONSORSHIP
*We will continue with our tradition of helping a local charity group as part of our way to give back to the community. We will promote special events through out the bowling season and continue to use our Year End Raffle as a way to raise funds for our special charity projects.

LANE CONDITIONS
*We will attempt to rotate our lane condition selection between (8) eight specific patterns during the tournament season plus two special patterns for our special events. This will help add more consistency to our tournament formats and help members expand their skills with some predictability.

MOTIV BOWLING
*We have secured Motiv Bowling as a new American Masters Tournament sponsor for the 2009-2010 season.

ENTRY FEE CHANGES FOR BOTH DIVISIONS
*Handicap Division will be lowered to $65.00
*Scratch Division will be raised to $85.00
*Our Year End survey determined that this is what the bowlers wanted.

Handicap & Scratch Division GUARANTEED QUALIFIERS
*Handicap & Scratch Division will guarantee the Top 12 Bowlers to match play at our regular tournament events.
*At least 1-in-4 of all bowlers will cash based on tournament entries.
